Custom Embroidered Patches

• 100% embroidery:  This has the best look and feel.  Your patches will be fully embroidered and will not have any visible twill backing.  Any patch design can be fully embroidered with 100% thread coverage.  This makes for beautiful custom patches.
• 75% embroidery:  This is a more economical option.  Ideal if your design has a small area of a single solid color that can be twill.  This means that at least 25% of the patch will have twill backing showing.  Up to 75% of the patch can be embroidered.
• 50% embroidery:  This is the most economical option.  Ideal if your design has a large area of solid color.  This means that 50% or more of the patch will twill backing and the rest of the patch will be embroidered.
• What percentage is my design?  Which price chart applies will depends upon your design.
      Example: If you have 68% embroidery, we use the 75% price chart.
      Example: If you have 92% embroidery, we use the 100% price chart.
  We'll use whichever price chart applies to your patch design's embroidery coverage.
  
• What percentage should I choose?  The decision to order a patch with 100% or less than 100% thread coverage is simply a matter of preference. Many customers prefer 100% because of the thickness and fullness it adds.

Add the largest height & largest width measurements together and then divide by two to learn your patch size.
Example:  Take a 3" x 5" patch...
    Add height and width:  3" + 5" = 8"
    8" divided by 2 equals 4" size for pricing.

What are custom embroidered patches?

Custom embroidered patches are thread-stitched patches on a twill base. You choose the design, thread colors, twill color, edge, and backing.

What is the difference between 100%, 75%, and 50% embroidery?

100% covers the whole face with thread. 75% leaves at least 25% twill showing. 50% leaves half or more as twill. We price to the next coverage tier that fits the design. 68% uses the 75% chart. 92% uses the 100% chart.

Should I choose 100% embroidery?

100% is thicker and hides the twill. 75% and 50% cost less when a large area can stay one twill color. Preference and budget decide it.

How is embroidered patch size measured?

Add height and width, then divide by two. A 3" x 5" patch is a 4" patch for pricing.

What edge styles are included?

Merrowed edge or heat-cut (die cut) edge is included.

How many thread colors are included?

Nine thread colors are included. Extra colors are $0.10 each. Hundreds of thread and twill colors are available.

What backings are available?

PVC backing or a blank back is free. Other backings are listed on the patch options page.

Is there a minimum order?

You can order any quantity above the listed minimum. Price breaks apply at higher quantities.

How long does production take?

Standard production and shipping is typically within 30 calendar days. Rush production with 15-calendar-day delivery is available for an additional 15% charge.
