Custom Patches

Custom patches turn team logos, unit marks, club artwork, event graphics and original designs into something that goes on a jacket, bag, hat or uniform and stays there. Metro Pins makes two styles: stitched embroidered patches and molded PVC rubber patches. Each one takes the same artwork and comes out with a different look and a different job.

Embroidered patches are thread on twill. That is the classic uniform and award patch. PVC patches are soft, flexible rubber. That is the outdoor, bag, and 3D shape patch. Custom Embroidered Patches

Custom embroidered patches are thread stitched onto a twill base. That is the classic uniform and award patch: you can see the stitch, feel the thickness, and pick the colors from separate thread and twill charts. They hold up on jackets, hats, bags, and team uniforms when they are sewn or given a proper backing.

Coverage is 100%, 75%, or 50%. 100% hides the twill and looks the fullest. 75% and 50% leave twill showing in the open areas and cost less when a large block of one color can stay cloth. Nine thread colors are included. Extra thread colors are $0.10 each. Edge is merrow for simple shapes or hot cut for complex shapes.

Custom PVC Patches

Custom PVC patches are molded from soft, flexible PVC, not stitched cloth. They are waterproof, outdoor-ready, and can be cut to almost any shape. Color is mixed into the rubber, so there is no thread chart and no twill showing through. This is the style for bags, packs, morale gear, and anything that gets wet or scraped.

Order 2D or 3D. 2D is usually one or two levels. 3D rubber patches add raised layers so the design stands off the surface. Up to seven colors are included. Extra colors are $0.10 each. PMS matching is available. Standard thickness is 2.5mm. Up to 5mm is available when you need more height.
